Design System Lead

About the Role

We are seeking a meticulous and seasoned designer to enhance our design system. In this role, you will play a crucial part in enabling designers throughout the company to create cohesive, user-friendly, and top-quality experiences by evolving our cross-platform design system. You will be in charge of developing thorough documentation, refining existing components, and creating new elements to enhance our visual and interaction patterns across user interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Drive the refinement and growth of the Design System by designing and documenting intuitive components
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to establish and implement a top-tier global Design System
• Develop micro-interactions, transitions, and animations for product interfaces
• Create icons, components, and asset libraries alongside comprehensive documentation
• Promote systems thinking and uphold high design quality by collaborating with designers company-wide
• Focus on scalable system solutions across the entire digital ecosystem
• Work closely with Design, Branding, Engineering, and Product leaders to define the vision and product strategy for expressing the brand across products
• Engage in continuous improvement by gathering feedback from peers, stakeholders, and facilitating design thinking workshops
• Stay updated on industry trends related to branded product experiences
• Deliver work that reflects positively on the team and company brand

Requirements

• 5-7 years of relevant experience in Design Systems, Product Design, Interaction Design, or UX Design
• Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Proficient in designing for various platforms and responsive design
• In-depth knowledge of design tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or Framer
• Familiarity with Apple and Google design guidelines
• Experience using data to inform and assess design impact
• Proficient in basic web development technologies like HTML, CSS, and Javascript
• Ability to mentor other designers on Interaction Design, Design Systems, and patterns

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in fintech, investment platforms, or crypto product design
• Experience working in multi-office and timezone teams
• Proficiency in Mandarin

Salary Range: $158,000 - $220,000
