Challenge:
We seek a hands-on DevOps Engineer adept at deciphering and refurbishing legacy build pipelines, transmuting them into refined, scalable, automated systems.
This role extends beyond maintenance, tasking you with dissecting existing CI/CD workflows, pinpointing bottlenecks, and spearheading reforms to enhance developer productivity, streamlining delivery speed, and fortifying system reliability.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate and appraise legacy CI/CD pipelines to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and manual procedures.
Architect and deploy modern CI/CD pipelines integrated with automated testing, security validations, and optimized deployment methods.
Transition current infrastructure and build processes to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks like Terraform and CloudFormation.
Establish and normalize "golden paths" for build and deployment operations across environments.
Enhance pipeline observability through comprehensive logging, monitoring, and alerting for prompt, actionable feedback.
Collaborate closely with engineering counterparts to enhance build reliability and deployment assurance.
End-to-end ownership of CI/CD enhancements, from conception to production rollout.
Proactively contribute to refining DevOps protocols, tools, and engineering efficiency.
Mandatory Skills:
3–5 years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.
Demonstrated expertise in modernizing or migrating legacy CI/CD pipelines.
Proficient in using CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
Solid familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
Skilled in scripting and automation with Python, Bash, and C#.
Seasoned coding abilities with Python and C#.
Experience with AWS CloudFormation and/or Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
Profound understanding of CI/CD fundamentals, build optimization, and deployment strategies.
Prior background working on legacy systems involving custom scripts, XML configurations, and manual processes.
Strong analytical and solo work capabilities, coupled with clear and assertive English communication skills.
Nice to Have:
Practical know-how in incorporating security scanning and compliance checks into CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with secrets management and state handling in DevOps settings.
Previous exposure to cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
Experience in high-availability or production-sensitive environments.
History defining DevOps standards or optimal platform practices.
Hands-on involvement in C# build systems.
