Display Advertising Director - Programmatic
As the Programmatic Director, you will be responsible for driving the overall strategy, implementation, and enhancement of our programmatic advertising campaigns across prominent platforms such as Google Display & Video 360 (DV360), Unity, Liftoff, Moloco, Smaato, The Trade Desk, and others. Your role will entail a combination of technical proficiency, innovative thinking, and leadership skills to deliver impactful global user acquisition and engagement campaigns on web and app platforms. Emphasizing innovation, automation, and data-driven decision-making, you will establish scalable best practices while harnessing technologies like AI to optimize campaign outcomes. This role necessitates strategic planning, technical expertise, and hands-on management of advertising campaigns.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the global programmatic advertising strategy to enhance user acquisition, retention, and engagement with a focus on achieving favorable ROI and sustainable growth.
- Foster an environment of innovation by utilizing advanced technologies such as AI, machine learning, and automation to enhance campaign targeting, creative execution, and optimization.
- Develop and expand the roadmap for programmatic advertising, identifying growth prospects in new markets, platforms, and advertising formats.
- Establish and enforce global best practice standards for programmatic advertising encompassing frequency capping, remarketing flows, brand safety, dynamic creative optimization (DCO), among others.
- Collaborate closely with various teams including marketing, creative, product, and data teams to enforce cohesive and high-impact advertising strategies.
- Provide strategic guidance, mentorship, and support to a team of direct reports, while promoting collaboration across internal and external stakeholders.
Technical & Creative Expertise:
- Leverage advanced analytics tools, AI, and automation for developing more intelligent bidding strategies.
- Supervise dynamic creative optimization (DCO) to customize messaging and creative content for diverse audience segments using data and machine learning.
- Collaborate with creative teams to explore innovative programmatic ad formats like interactive ads, playable ads, and video creatives tailored for maximum engagement.
- Utilize predictive analytics and AI-driven tools to recognize high-value audiences and anticipate market trends.
- Research and experiment with cutting-edge advertising technologies such as contextual targeting, programmatic audio, Connected TV (CTV), and digital out-of-home (DOOH).
Execution & Optimization:
- Manage and expand the programmatic DSP ecosystem by introducing and testing new platforms and publisher partnerships to enhance campaign reach and performance.
- Lead media strategy and buying across open auctions, preferred deals, private marketplaces (PMPs), and programmatic guaranteed (PG) deals.
- Implement and monitor automation processes to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency by reducing manual intervention.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Establish robust data frameworks for audience segmentation, predictive modeling, and user behavior analysis to drive personalization and engagement.
- Ensure meticulous tracking and attribution by integrating data from platforms like Google Analytics, CDPs, and proprietary databases to gain a comprehensive view of campaigns.
- Stay informed on industry trends and competitor strategies to remain ahead of market shifts and pioneer innovation in programmatic advertising strategies.
Reporting & Insights:
- Deliver high-quality, actionable reports and presentations for executive stakeholders outlining campaign successes, insights gathered, and opportunities for growth.
- Perform competitive analyses to benchmark performance and refine strategies accordingly.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Over 7 years of experience in programmatic advertising with a strong focus on user acquisition.
- Experience in TradFi, Crypto, Sports, or i-gaming within North America and Europe markets is advantageous.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a background in team management and complex operations.
- Strong business acumen with a proven track record in programmatic advertising channel expertise.
- Familiarity with global acquisition strategies and their execution.
- Track record of success in fast-paced and dynamic environments.
- Exceptional collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively cross-functionally.
