Description

As the Programmatic Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, implementation, and optimization of programmatic advertising campaigns on various leading platforms. This role entails utilizing technical expertise and creative vision to drive impactful global user acquisition and engagement initiatives across web and app platforms. Emphasizing innovation, automation, and data-driven decision-making, you will establish scalable best practices and leverage emerging technologies like AI to enhance campaign performance. The position requires a combination of strategic guidance, technical proficiency, and hands-on campaign management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and spearhead the global programmatic advertising strategy to drive user acquisition, retention, and engagement while focusing on achieving a high ROI and sustained growth.
  • Foster a culture of innovation by incorporating advanced technologies such as AI and machine learning to enhance campaign targeting, creative execution, and optimization.
  • Expand the programmatic advertising roadmap by identifying growth opportunities in untapped markets, platforms, and ad formats.
  • Establish and enforce global best practices for programmatic advertising, including areas like frequency capping, remarketing flows, brand safety, and dynamic creative optimization (DCO).
  • Collaborate closely with various cross-functional teams, including marketing, creative, product, and data teams, to deliver cohesive and high-impact advertising strategies.
  • Offer strategic leadership, mentoring, and guidance to direct reports, while encouraging collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Technical & Creative Proficiency

  • Utilize advanced analytics tools, AI, and automation to develop more intelligent bidding strategies.
  • Supervise dynamic creative optimization (DCO), leveraging data and machine learning for tailored messaging and creatives catering to different audience segments.
  • Work with creative teams to innovate in programmatic ad formats, incorporating interactive ads, playable ads, and engaging video creatives.
  • Utilize predictive analytics and AI-powered tools to identify high-value audiences and anticipate market trends.
  • Research and experiment with cutting-edge advertising technologies like contextual targeting, programmatic audio, Connected TV (CTV), and digital out-of-home (DOOH).

Execution & Optimization

  • Manage and expand the programmatic DSP ecosystem by testing new platforms and publisher partnerships to enhance campaign performance.
  • Lead media strategy and buying across various auction types, from open auctions to programmatic guaranteed (PG) deals.
  • Implement and oversee automation processes to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.

Data-Driven Decision Making

  • Establish robust data frameworks for audience segmentation, predictive modeling, and user behavior analysis to drive personalization and engagement.
  • Ensure thorough tracking and attribution by integrating data across different platforms for comprehensive campaign insights.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitors' strategies to stay ahead of market shifts and drive innovation in programmatic advertising.

Reporting & Insights

  • Provide high-quality reports and presentations for executive stakeholders that outline campaign achievements, learnings, and areas for growth.
  • Conduct competitive analyses to evaluate performance and refine future strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in programmatic advertising with a focus on user acquisition.
  • Experience in TradFi, Crypto, Sports, or i-gaming with North America and Europe markets is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in managing teams and complex operations.
  • Strong commercial mindset with a successful history in programmatic advertising.
  • Familiarity with global acquisition strategies and their implementation.
  • Proven ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional collaboration skills with a talent for working cross-functionally.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities to interpret data for making informed decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
