Engineering Manager - BitGo Prime

We are seeking a qualified Engineering Manager to join our Prime team in New York. As an Engineering Manager at BitGo, you will lead a team of skilled engineers, fostering a culture of open communication, technical excellence, and ownership. Responsibilities include overseeing the development and delivery of BitGo Prime's technology and services, ensuring quality, and maintaining strong collaboration across engineering, product operations, compliance, and business functions. The successful candidate will be accountable for streamlining internal operations, enhancing the client experience, and optimizing service uptime. Additionally, collaborating with management and product teams to prioritize roadmap objectives and aligning team goals with company objectives are essential parts of the role.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a high-impact engineering team, emphasizing open communication, craftsmanship, and ownership
• Take charge of all technology powering BitGo Prime, including trading, lending, and settlement services
• Serve as a liaison between engineering teams, product operations, compliance, and business stakeholders
• Drive efficiency, documentation, and knowledge sharing within the team
• Collaborate on planning, estimating, and prioritizing roadmap objectives in line with company goals

Skills & Experience:

Required:

• Substantial managerial experience in engineering
• Proficiency in digital wallets, settlement, lending, trading systems, etc.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
• Strong debugging skills and automation mindset
• Proven track record in sourcing and hiring top engineering talent
• Ability to work in cross-team environments and drive broader departmental goals
• Strong communication skills and a passion for cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology

Preferred:

• Experience with NodeJS, TypeScript, Go, Postgres, React, and Kafka
• Familiarity with microservices, service-oriented architectures, Containers, Kubernetes, and financial industry practices

Pay Transparency Notice: The compensation for this role averages between $185,000 - $235,000 USD base salary, in addition to equity, an annual performance bonus, and outlined benefits based on location.
