Role Overview

This role demands full-time onsite presence at BitGo's Palo Alto office to support teamwork and innovative problem-solving initiatives.

BitGo seeks an individual to fill an Engineering Manager position within the Custody organization, focusing on developing resilient, robust services that allow customers to securely store and access their cryptocurrency while meeting global compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and build an impactful engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability
  • Assume direct responsibility for ensuring timely delivery and quality of the team's work
  • Collaborate with product management, designers, and other stakeholders to create and prioritize the team’s roadmap
  • Work closely with UI/UX designers to create user-friendly interfaces
  • Lead the development of platforms enabling secure crypto application building
  • Be accountable for KPIs related to development processes, product quality, and customer value
  • Act as a positive interface between engineering teams and various stakeholders
  • Align the team with company objectives and client expectations

Skills & Experience

Required

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years in a managerial role
  • Strong automation inclination and enhancement of workflow efficiency
  • Proficient debugging skills and understanding of complex system dynamics
  • Track record in sourcing and hiring top engineering talent
  • Experience working in cross-functional and remote environments
  • Self-driven, adaptable, and decisive
  • Engineering degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain

Preferred

  • Proficiency in tools such as NodeJS, TypeScript, MongoDB, React, and Kafka
  • Experience in microservices and service-oriented architectures
  • Working knowledge of large-scale, real-time, and distributed applications
  • Familiarity with Containers and Kubernetes
  • Experience in the financial industry
  • Knowledge of digital wallets and ledgering

Compensation and Benefits

Depending on leveling and location, the role offers a salary between $180,000 - $240,000 USD. Moreover, it includes equity, an annual performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package.
