Engineering Manager (Hands-On) - Go Network

This role requires working full-time at the New York City office to support teamwork and innovative problem-solving.

We seek an Engineering Manager to join our Go Network team, responsible for building resilient services and handling critical projects independently.

Responsibilities:

Build, lead, and nurture a team of skilled engineers, offering technical and cultural guidance. Foster a culture of open communication, craftsmanship, and responsibility within the team. Take ownership of quality and delivery of projects related to BitGo Prime technology. Act as a liaison between engineering, product operations, support, compliance, and business stakeholders. Set and be accountable for key performance indicators related to internal operations efficiency, client experience, and service uptime. Encourage documentation and knowledge sharing within the team. Collaborate with management and product teams to plan, prioritize, and estimate roadmap objectives. Align team objectives with company goals and client expectations.

Skills & Experience:

Required:

Significant experience as a tech lead or manager in an engineering environment. 8+ years of software engineering experience, with 2-4 years in a managerial role. Strong inclination towards automation and building tools for enhanced workflow efficiency. Proficient in debugging and understanding complex system dependencies. Proven ability to recruit top engineering talent. Background in cross-functional collaboration to achieve departmental goals. A proactive decision-maker with swift adaptability. Degree in Computer Science or related field. Effective communication skills. Interest and understanding of cryptocurrencies and blockchain.

Preferred:

Proficiency in NodeJS, TypeScript, Go, Postgres, React, and Kafka. Experience with microservices and service-oriented architectures. Familiarity with large-scale distributed applications in real-time scenarios. Knowledge of Containers and Kubernetes. Experience in the financial industry. Understanding of domains like digital wallets, clearing and settlement, lending, trading, accounting systems, etc.
