Description

We are looking for an experienced individual to manage a dedicated team focused on designing, developing, and enhancing software for diverse ventures projects. These projects are closely related to our core businesses and operate with a lean team structure to promote rapid progress. Your role will involve active participation in crafting the various components essential for scalable applications, spanning from frontend UI development to backend infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Mentorship: Lead and cultivate a top-tier, cross-functional engineering group comprising iOS, Android, Backend, and QA professionals, fostering an atmosphere of collaboration and inclusivity.
  • Strategic Technical Management: Collaborate closely with Product Managers to outline product roadmaps and technical strategies. Oversee the complete implementation of new features and products, from concept and design to deployment and upkeep.
  • Holistic Partnership: Serve as the primary engineering liaison, engaging effectively with product, design, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive alignment and successful project outcomes.
  • Identify and Address Needs: Proactively recognize and resolve technical, procedural, or resource deficiencies within the engineering team to enable seamless and efficient development cycles.
  • Architectural Guidance: Provide strategic directives to the team in making informed architectural choices for creating scalable, secure, and dependable systems supporting our global retail trading platform.
  • Operational Excellence: Advocate for best practices in software development, such as agile methodologies, code reviews, testing, and CI/CD pipelines, to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Management: Articulate project statuses, risks, and technical intricacies clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Innovation and Development: Instill a culture promoting ongoing advancement and innovation, empowering the team to explore new technologies and methodologies to address intricate issues.

Requirements

  • Proven Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated experience in leading, managing, and nurturing software engineering teams, especially within a cross-functional environment encompassing mobile (iOS/Android) and backend engineers.
  • Robust Technical Proficiency: A solid background in software development with the capability to contribute to technical dialogues and architectural decisions.
  • Mobile Expertise: Familiarity with native mobile development (iOS, Android) or cross-platform frameworks like React Native is advantageous.
  • Collaborative Product Development: Prior experience collaborating closely with product managers to develop and deliver successful products.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep comprehension of the retail trading, fintech, or financial services sector with an added advantage of blockchain technology awareness.
