Responsibilities
Financial Analysis
- Conduct thorough financial analysis, including financial modeling, scenario analysis, and evaluating market trends
- Collaborate with executives and senior management to fulfill their financial analysis requirements
- Partner with the Product team to assess new products and initiatives
- Create and maintain comprehensive financial models to facilitate strategic decision-making and capital allocation
- Assess key financial metrics such as trading volumes, transaction costs, liquidity management, and revenue streams to identify areas for optimization and growth
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry developments to evaluate their potential impact on FalconX's financial operations
Financial Planning and Budgeting
- Lead the budgeting process in close collaboration with department heads and senior management to align financial goals with strategic objectives
- Develop long-term financial plans and forecasts, considering factors such as market conditions, product development initiatives, and revenue projections
- Provide guidance and support in developing departmental budgets, while monitoring expenses against budgeted targets
- Periodically review budgets, identify areas of concern, and recommend corrective actions to ensure financial objectives are met
Financial Reporting and Presentations
- Prepare accurate and insightful financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, for internal stakeholders and senior management
- Present financial analysis findings and reports to senior management, highlighting key insights and recommending strategies to optimize financial performance
- Establish and maintain standardized reporting templates and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making across the organization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent reporting and alignment of financial information
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred
- 4+ years of experience in financial analysis, planning, and budgeting, preferably in financial technology, crypto, DeFi, Web3, or related sectors, with exposure to a managerial role
- Approximately 10 years of professional work experience, ideally including experience in investment banking or management consulting
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing scalable FP&A processes
- In-depth knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and forecasting techniques
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills; familiarity with data visualization tools is a plus
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with great attention to detail
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines
- Strong interest in digital assets, evident through either direct work experience or personal involvement
The base pay for this role is expected to range between $175,000 and $215,000 USD. This expectation is based on information at the time of posting. In addition to base pay, this role will be eligible for performance-linked bonuses, equity, and a competitive benefits package. The final compensation for a successful candidate will be determined based on factors such as skillset, experience, and qualifications.
