We are in search of a skilled bilingual Localization Manager proficient in German and French to enhance our multilingual content operations spanning web, app, and marketing platforms. The successful candidate will collaborate with a dynamic editorial and growth team, utilizing internal AI technology to produce initial transcreations before honing, subediting, publishing, and ensuring all content aligns with our brand identity and regulatory standards. This position encompasses a mix of AI-supported localization, transcreation, editorial subediting, CMS publishing, and project management, making it ideal for individuals who can seamlessly navigate between linguistic accuracy, creative nuances, and operational effectiveness.
Please be informed that this is a part-time contract role requiring 2-3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Transcreation & Localization
- Adapt and transcreate English marketing and product content into natural and culturally authentic German and French tones.
- Review, refine, and oversee translations generated by internal AI platforms or external translators to guarantee accuracy, coherence, and uniformity.
- Convert content into other essential languages for internal review purposes.
- Ensure all localized materials in German and French adhere to brand voice, terminology, and style guidelines.
- Manage end-to-end localization workflows and publish localized content using CMS platforms.
- Please note this is a contract role requiring 2-3 days per week.
Cultural & Market Relevance
- Customize creative concepts to suit local cultural subtleties and consumer preferences.
- Offer local insights and counsel to the global growth and editorial teams concerning market-specific inclinations and sensibilities.
- Serve as a linguistic and cultural liaison for the DACH and French markets.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Collaborate with Compliance and Legal departments to confirm that all content complies with local regulatory standards and that disclaimers are appropriately adjusted.
- Stay updated on regional compliance prerequisites.
- Scrutinize all marketing materials, campaigns, and customer communications for accuracy, tone, and compliance adherence.
Project Management
- Supervise localization timelines and deliverables across multiple content streams.
- Coordinate with editors, designers, and marketing leaders to ensure seamless publishing processes.
- Monitor localization metrics and recommend enhancements to processes or AI models.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in native-level German and French along with fluent English.
- Demonstrated experience in localization, transcreation, or editorial capacities, preferably in finance or regulated sectors.
- Strong editorial acumen with a blend of precision and creative expression.
- Familiarity with CMS tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
