Description
We are seeking a skilled individual fluent in German and French to take on the role of Localization Manager. You will be responsible for managing multilingual content operations spanning web, app, and marketing channels. Working alongside a dynamic editorial and growth team, you will utilize our internal AI model to assist in generating initial transcreations, followed by refining, subediting, and publishing content to ensure compliance with brand standards. This position encompasses a mix of AI-assisted localization, transcreation, editorial subediting, CMS publishing, and project management, making it an ideal fit for someone adept at balancing precision, creativity, and operational efficiency.
Please note that this is a contract role with a commitment of 2-3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Transcreation & Localization:
- Adapt English marketing and product copy into German and French while maintaining natural tone and cultural relevance.
- Review, refine, and quality check translations from AI systems or external linguists to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Extend transcreation efforts to other key languages for internal review.
- Ensure alignment of localized content with brand voice and style guides.
- Manage end-to-end localization workflows, including publishing content via the CMS.
Cultural & Market Relevance:
- Tailor creative concepts to suit local cultural nuances and consumer expectations.
- Provide actionable insights to global growth and editorial teams regarding market-specific preferences.
- Serve as a linguistic and cultural liaison for the DACH and French regions.
Compliance & Quality Assurance:
- Collaborate with Compliance and Legal teams to guarantee content adheres to local regulations.
- Stay informed on regional compliance standards.
- Review marketing material, campaigns, and customer communications for accuracy and compliance approval.
Project Management:
- Supervise localization timelines and deliverables across various content streams.
- Coordinate with editors, designers, and marketing leads to ensure efficient publishing workflows.
- Monitor localization metrics and recommend enhancements to processes or AI models.
Requirements:
- Native-level fluency in German and French, along with fluent English.
- Previous experience in localization, transcreation, or editorial roles, preferably within finance or regulated industries.
- Strong editorial judgment, combining precision with creative finesse.
- Proficiency with CMS tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- Comfort in using AI-assisted translation tools.
