Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head of Transaction Monitoring in overseeing the global onchain and offchain transaction monitoring team, enhancing operational efficiency through continuous improvement efforts.
- Support global operational activities across various regions, ensuring compliance with regulatory mandates and offering expertise to local MLROs and business units.
- Mentor and develop team members in collaboration with the Head of Transaction Monitoring to create a high-performance culture.
- Drive designated cross-functional projects to bolster transaction monitoring capabilities, mitigate risks, and align with business goals.
- Communicate compliance initiatives and progress to stakeholders at different levels within the organization.
- Develop and present reports and metrics for informed decision-making on compliance, risk, and operational issues.
- Implement process enhancements within the transaction monitoring program to strengthen compliance controls and practices.
- Validate control processes according to regulatory standards and compliance expectations.
- Cultivate a compliance culture and increase awareness of responsibilities within the organization.
- Forge strong relationships with business stakeholders to ensure timely compliance activities.
- Support in corrective action development and tracking based on established policies.
- Stay abreast of evolving regulations and risks in the virtual currency landscape to update compliance practices.
- Supervise team outputs, identifying and escalating issues when necessary.
- Efficiently use compliance tools like Chainalysis, Elliptic, and other reporting systems.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years in compliance roles, including 2 years leading global Transaction Monitoring teams.
- Strong knowledge of AML regulations, criminal typologies, audit/exam management, and operational leadership.
- Excellent technical communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences and engage stakeholders effectively.
