At The Block, we envision digital assets as an integral part of the future, assuming the role of a trusted mediator and authoritative voice for those engaging with digital assets, whether through investment, work, decision-making, or understanding.
The Team:
The Design team at The Block is instrumental in introducing innovative and user-centered products to the market. Working closely with various stakeholders, we analyze user requirements and market trends. Despite being a small yet expanding team, the Design team collaborates across functions to support Product, Sales, and Marketing teams, presenting ample opportunities for impactful contributions.
The Role:
We are in search of a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our growing Design team as an intern. This position offers hands-on involvement in the dynamic field of fintech and crypto media, enabling you to refine design skills and deepen your insight into this evolving industry. Working closely with the Design team, you will grasp our brand voice and integrate individual perspectives into the creation of a diverse array of graphics for online features and research projects.
Core Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Design team to craft visually captivating designs for digital and print media channels.
- Ensure brand consistency and compliance with established design standards.
- Develop graphics, illustrations, infographics, and other visuals to enrich content.
- Generate decks and research reports using available templates.
- Aid in creating engaging visuals for social media, banner ads, and promotional materials.
- Assist in image editing and optimization for digital platforms.
- Provide general support to the Design team, including asset organization and other design-related tasks.
Requirements:
- Pursuing a degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field, or a recent graduate seeking practical experience.
- Proficient in graphic design tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma.
- Experience with image banks like Shutterstock.
- Knowledge of Google Slides or Keynote for creating decks is advantageous.
- Strong creative, detail-oriented, problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity or interest in fintech and cryptocurrency.
- Effective time management with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and design iteration skills.
Compensation: $20 per hour
Internship Duration: 6 months
