The Block Research seeks a dedicated individual to join their 25-member research crew. As a data analyst within the Research team, you will contribute to the establishment of infrastructure for current and future data products, alongside automating insights search utilized daily.

You will collaborate closely with the Research Lead of Data and the existing data team, expanding your grasp of the digital assets landscape. Leveraging the vast industry network and broad following within the digital assets community, you will develop your personal brand within relevant tech circles.

With access to expertise and advanced blockchain APIs, you will harness your technical proficiency to construct a scalable infrastructure highly sought after by blockchain projects and crypto funds on a global scale. The role offers competitive compensation and abundant prospects for progression.

Job Duties / Responsibilities:

Develop parsers for various social media and diverse alternative data sources.

Index blockchains and formulate SQL and GraphQL queries.

Partner with the engineering team to construct scalable data infrastructure.

Aid the editorial and research team with intricate data retrieval tasks.

Prepare data for integrating new features into The Block’s Data Dashboard.

Successful candidates must have:

Proficiency in SQL and experience with GraphQL.

Comprehension of data scraping and interaction with internal website APIs.

Background in databases and AWS or GCP data solutions.

Experience with ETL data pipelines.

Capability to resolve intricate issues effectively and delve deep into problems.
