Responsibilities

  • Manage, guide, and lead teams, overseeing aspects like mentorship, recruitment, and best practices implementation for multiple teams totaling over 20 engineers.
  • Offer technical expertise and direction on architecture and development strategies.
  • Mentor managers and offer support to engineers in their career progression, aligning with our Engineering ladders framework.
  • Foster alignment between engineering practices and project objectives.
  • Collaborate across functions to cultivate trust with various parts of the organization and key business stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software development.
  • At least 2 years of experience with web3 technologies and a strong technical understanding of this domain.
  • Over 2 years of team leadership background (e.g., Team Lead, Engineering Manager, Head of Engineering).
  • Proficiency in software development methodologies, their strengths and weaknesses, with a track record of their successful implementation.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in navigating ambiguity through cross-functional collaboration and strategic decision-making.

Bonus Points

  • Previous experience with open-source software.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
  • Prior exposure to remote work settings.
