To facilitate our expanding enterprise, Ledger seeks a System Engineer for the Infrastructure Team in France who is passionate about high availability systems, monitoring, and automation, and eager to collaborate in a diverse, international setting.
Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and manage systems infrastructure encompassing core services, internal tools, monitoring solutions, and bare metal servers
- Research, pilot, integrate and deploy new technologies and infrastructure solutions
- Support the source code version management, continuous integration tools, and package management solutions
- Precisely estimate system work packages within the infrastructure domain
- Serve as an escalation point for systems delivery design or setup
- Act as a key escalation point for platform remedies
- Handle system incidents and problems resolution
- Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot hardware or software incidents and problems
- Plan and implement security measures to safeguard data, software, and hardware
- Configure, monitor, and maintain backup and replication routines, and strategize disaster recovery readiness
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of Ledger's infrastructure systems
Required Skills:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Linux system administration and management within a high availability ecosystem
- Proficiency in virtualization and containerization environments like K8s, Docker, Proxmox
- Hands-on experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, SaltStack, or Terraform
- Familiarity with system monitoring tools, particularly Prometheus
- Knowledge of encryption and PKI technologies
- Self-driven, motivated, and autonomous
- Effective communication and persuasion skills
- Honest, realistic, and adept at creative problem solving, critically assessing solutions, and implementing business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Public Cloud deployments on AWS
- Understanding of application transport and network infrastructure protocols
- Knowledge of data center operations or network devices is beneficial
