Responsibilities:
Internal Investigations:
- Spearhead and execute thorough internal investigations into reported incidents of fraud, misconduct, or breaches of company policies and regulations
- Coordinate with different departments such as HR, Legal, and Compliance to collect relevant information and documentation
- Employ forensic analysis and other investigative strategies to discern facts and the chronological order of events
- Compile detailed investigation reports delineating findings and proposing measures to prevent future issues
- Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity throughout the investigative procedure
Internal Audit Engagements:
- Take part in strategizing and executing internal audit activities across various business units, targeting financial, operational, and compliance risks
- Assess the efficiency of internal controls, pinpoint weaknesses, and recommend enhancement areas
- Offer practical and innovative solutions to rectify issues identified during audits
- Assist in designing the annual audit plan based on a risk assessment approach
- Prepare precise audit reports to communicate discoveries and suggestions to management
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Accounting, or a related discipline
- Professional certification like CPA, CIA, or CFE is preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in internal investigations, auditing, or a relevant position in a corporate atmosphere
- Demonstrated adeptness in handling delicate investigations with integrity, discretion, and a dedication to confidentiality
- Proficient in analytical thinking and problem-solving, with the ability to decipher intricate information and data
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including report preparation and presenting findings to senior management
- Knowledgeable about forensic principles, fraud investigation methodologies, and internal audit standards and procedures
- Competent in utilizing investigation and audit software tools
- Capable of leveraging data analytics to uncover potential fraud instances
- Ability to work autonomously, juggle multiple priorities, and excel in a fast-paced setting
