Role Description
We are in search of a Lead Data Scientist specializing in proof of stake protocols to bolster our data team at Figment. The ideal candidate should possess robust technical data science acumen and adept communication skills across multiple business units. Key requirements include issue identification, proposing data-driven solutions, and articulating strategies to leverage data for informed decision-making. Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualizing, planning, and executing data-driven solutions for Figment's Sales and DevOps teams
- Harnessing analytics, statistics, and machine learning tools to deliver impactful solutions
- Acting as the team liaison between Sales, DevOps, and supporting ad hoc EDA and diversified reporting
- Executing data extraction through Python scripts, JSON files, etc., to construct pipelines from external sources like block explores, APIs, and RPCs nodes
- Introducing novel systems and processes with a focus on enhancing data flow
- Assessing emerging technologies and staying current with modern trends, technologies, and methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive background in Data Science and Data Solutions
- Proficiency in modern data stack concepts (databases, pipelining, visualization tools, ML platforms)
- Outcome-oriented mindset with high EQ and meticulous attention to detail
- Willingness to experiment with new approaches and iterate as needed
- Team player with collaborative problem-solving capabilities
- Experience in protocol data, research, and report writing domains
- Familiarity with Blockchain technology or Web3 landscape
- Proficiency in data engineering tasks
- Cross-functional collaboration experience with internal teams
- Proficient in utilizing our technology stack and tools (AWS, Snowflake, jupyterhub, Dagster, dbt, Fivetran, Monte Carlo, Python, Sigma, GitHub, Jira, Slack)

Base Salary: Canada: CAD $160,000 - $200,000 US: USD $160,000 - $x Specifics for other countries will be discussed during initial interviews.
