We are looking for a skilled Legal Counsel to join our Dora Team. This position plays a vital role in managing legal issues related to investment and financing, ensuring compliance, and minimizing risks within our operations. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial reviews and offer insights on legal documents, particularly focusing on investment contracts, corporate governance, and compliance matters.
  • Collaborate with external legal advisors to oversee legal processes and disputes regarding investment and financing transactions in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Perform regular compliance audits to guarantee adherence to company policies, regulations, and best practices in investment and financing activities.
  • Engage in contract negotiations, as well as draft and review agreements to protect the company's interests, with a specific emphasis on investment agreements, funding documents, and financial instruments.
  • Develop and maintain user agreements for internal platforms, ensuring compliance with laws and effective data protection standards.
  • Manage company legal documents, ensuring they are kept up-to-date and stored securely.
  • Oversee the drafting, review, and negotiation of employment agreements, manage employee relations, including terminations, and ensure compliance with local labor laws.
  • Identify and manage legal risks, keep abreast of relevant laws, and represent the company in legal proceedings and negotiations when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Must be licensed to practice law, preferably in the jurisdiction where the company operates.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of legal experience in investment and financing law; experience in corporate governance and compliance is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in both Mandarin and English to facilitate effective communication.

The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $180,000 annually.
