The Managing Director of BitGo Europe front-office is crucial in directing the strategic vision and operational success of the organization. This role requires an experienced professional reporting to the parent company in the US, responsible for providing strategic leadership, managing key customer relationships, supervising critical operations and alliances, and enhancing the company's financial performance to ensure competitiveness and alignment with market and regulatory shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic roadmap in line with the parent company's objectives to sustain the subsidiary's prosperity in the digital assets landscape, including setting goals and providing direction to realize revenue targets.
- Lead the Front Office divisions (Sales, Product, and Operations), cultivate a high-performance team, and nurture a compliant, accountable, and productive culture.
- Establish and nurture robust relationships with esteemed clients, offer tailored crypto custody solutions as a trusted advisor, and expand business avenues while ensuring client satisfaction in significant business phases.
- Ensure successful project and deal executions, oversee pricing, negotiations, and implementation, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for optimal results.
- Stay abreast of market and regulatory shifts, leveraging expertise to identify opportunities and address risks effectively.
- Identify and harness growth prospects within the German digital asset market, explore strategic collaborations and ventures to broaden the company's footprint.
- Collaborate on company-wide strategic initiatives and provide regular, comprehensive reports on emerging opportunities or obstacles.
Requirements:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (MBA or comparable advanced degree desirable).
- Possess over 5 years of leadership experience in the financial services sector.
- Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and execute high-level transactions.
- Proficient in finance industry aspects like custodian, securities, or investment businesses, ideally within digital assets/cryptocurrency markets, with strong problem-solving and proactive skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English and German, adept at engaging with regulators and stakeholders effectively.
- Proven track record of leading and inspiring cross-functional teams.
