Managing Editor (Contract)

About the role:

We are seeking a dynamic Managing Editor deeply immersed in the world of crypto, with a keen awareness of the latest trends and developments that shape the landscape. The ideal candidate will deliver compelling written content that appeals to a wide range of audiences within the crypto community, from novices to seasoned investors.

As a creative force and experienced writer and editor, you will be responsible for planning, writing, and editing engaging content such as articles, social media posts, newsletters, and product introductions. You will also oversee a small team dedicated to creating long-form content that enhances engagement and SEO, effectively simplifying complex concepts for broader accessibility in the rapidly evolving crypto space. If you have a passion for crypto and a knack for storytelling, this opportunity is tailored for you.

This position will initially be for a 15-month maternity cover contract with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent role for the ideal candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Create educational long-form content to educate users about leveraging crypto and the industry for financial independence.
• Develop high-quality content for social media platforms like X, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, and others in collaboration with the design team.
• Stay informed about crypto market trends and cultural movements to produce timely content for a widely read weekly newsletter.
• Provide editorial support for various teams across educational, product, research, and customer service content.
• Brainstorm and propose new content ideas aligned with SEO goals and the ever-changing crypto environment.
• Be adaptable to different time zones to respond promptly to breaking news, market shifts, and cultural occurrences with real-time, top-notch content.

Requirements:

• In-depth knowledge of blockchain, Web3, DeFi, NFTs, and the broader crypto space.
• Proven expertise in crafting captivating written content across multiple formats like articles, newsletters, social media posts, press releases, and product descriptions.
• Proficiency in Google Suite, WordPress, and Generative AI Tools.
• Ability to create engaging content for crypto-centric platforms including X, Discord, Telegram, as well as mainstream channels like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
• Comfortable producing content under tight deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Independent, proactive, and adapted to working in a constantly evolving remote environment, preferably based in Asia.
