The role within the Financial Planning & Analysis team is pivotal at Anchorage, wherein you will contribute significantly to the finance department by delving into financial data analysis, crafting forecasts, and providing crucial insights to drive decision-making across strategic and operational spheres. Your responsibilities in the FP&A domain will particularly focus on carrying out financial analysis to steer revenue and expense forecasting efforts, while also ensuring alignment with the company's financial objectives and growth targets.

Technical Skills:
- Leveraging expertise in revenue and expense forecasting, performance analysis, and reporting.
- Developing financial models to guide strategic decision-making concerning new products, partnerships, pricing, and avenues of revenue expansion.
- Executing technology enhancements optimized for revenue and expense considerations, inclusive of platforms like Netsuite, Pigment, and Salesforce.
Complexity and Impact of Work:
- Collaborating closely with the sales operations team to devise accurate and attainable revenue forecasts grounded in historical data, pipeline insights, and market and customer trends.
- Analysing business outcomes and other operational datasets to uncover patterns, trends, and key insights indispensable for shaping business strategy.
- Offering real-time insights on revenue, cost drivers, and profitability to drive informed decision-making.
- Aiding in the design of incentive programs and sales compensation structures that complement business objectives.
- Overseeing the review process for semi-annual sales compensation calculations.
Organizational Knowledge:
- Demonstrating capacity to influence management on Anchorage's strategic trajectory through adept utilization of financial data.
- Collaborating across departments to ensure cohesive alignment between specific business units, product initiatives, and the broader organizational strategy.
Communication and Influence:
- Generating routine reports and presentations for management that illuminate business performance, growth drivers, and variance analysis.
- Communicating the financial implications of sales strategies and decisions to stakeholders throughout the organization.
- Providing up-to-date information to Business Operations on revenue reporting and forecasting, enhanced by tools like Looker and enriched integrations with Netsuite/Salesforce.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proficiency in FP&A, investment banking, corporate finance, or accounting.
- Exhibit of an inquisitive mindset, ownership mentality, and an inclination to challenge conventions.
- High level of competence in Excel/Google Sheets with the ability to translate analyses into structured presentations.
- Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles such as US GAAP, financial analysis, and forecasting techniques.
- Prior exposure to financial systems and experience in implementing improvements (prior experience with Netsuite and Looker would be advantageous).
- Possession of strategic thinking capabilities coupled with a proven track record in resolving complex problems, toggling between operational and tactical focuses.
- Proven experience in outfitting dynamic financial models, presenting business plans, generating financial forecasts, and actionable insights.
- Familiarity with sales and profitability metrics analysis to inform future growth strategies, covering areas such as revenue attribution and total addressable market evaluations.
- Experience liaising with Sales and People departments regarding sales compensation strategy development.
Additional Expertise (not mandatory, but beneficial):
- Hands-on experience with analyzing extensive datasets employing tools like data warehouses and data visualization software, for example, Looker.
- Engagement with an Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) tool.
- Bachelor's degree with concentration in Finance, Business, Economics, and/or Accounting.
- For candidates familiar with the crypto or financial services industry, experience staying abreast of blockchain and crypto advancements can improve candidacy.
- A penchant for the musical soundtrack of Hamilton, which narrates the birth of a new financial system, is a plus.
