We are in search of an attorney adept at managing all legal and regulatory obligations of Anchorage Digital Bank alongside its affiliate entities. With legal acumen, an abreast understanding of regulatory and policy advancements, and regulatory analysis and interpretation skills geared towards bank regulatory matters in the digital assets sector, you will be instrumental in enhancing service delivery to our institutional clients and driving the industry forward.
As a key member of the legal team, serving as a Senior Counsel, Bank Regulatory at Anchorage Digital, you will offer strategic legal advice to internal stakeholders. Situated within the banking law realm and nascent regulatory issues pertaining to digital assets, you will identify relevant laws and regulations and provide counsel on regulatory risks.

Technical Skills:
- Conduct thorough legal research to facilitate informed regulatory decision-making, focusing on banking law, financial services, and digital assets.
- Support in compiling a repository of legal research and memoranda to guide legal and regulatory decision-making processes for the legal team, business stakeholders, and others.
- Ensure compliance with the bank's charter and operating agreement, overseeing affairs with affiliate entities.
- Proficiency in the legal frameworks governing national banks, encompassing the National Bank Act, 12 C.F.R. 9, and Reg. W.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Corporate Secretary to oversee the corporate governance of the Bank.
Complexity and Impact of Work:
- Assist the legal team in identifying critical areas for further regulatory assessment and offering feedback to the business on key legal and regulatory queries.
- Independently manage medium-to-large projects and processes while monitoring progress.
Organizational Knowledge:
- Engage with internal stakeholders to comprehend business requirements and pinpoint key legal and regulatory areas necessitating further research for business advancement.
- Share relevant legal insights with internal teams to disseminate knowledge effectively.
Communication and Influence:
- Establish clear communication channels, collaborating closely with legal and business teams to provide topical regulatory background and analysis.
- Contribute to internal deliberations concerning legal and regulatory matters emerging from the legal team and the business's product development initiatives.
Ideal Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in law firms or in-house counseling within banking or financial services domains.
- Highly organized, action-oriented, with meticulous attention to detail, capable of producing quality work in dynamic environments.
- Proficiency in regulatory frameworks applicable to banks, including existing and proposed regulations.
- Proficient in analyzing legal areas, comprehensively understanding applicable laws, regulations, and guidance, and synthesizing research into concise reports or memoranda.
- Ability to adapt traditional financial legal principles to the digital asset sector to provide solutions for complex business challenges.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, self-motivated, initiative-driven, with a positive attitude and readiness to tackle any task.
- Creative thinker with the ability to propose practical solutions.
- Active membership in a state bar association.
