We are currently in search of a legal professional to provide counsel to the various businesses under the Anchor Labs umbrella on new and existing products and services. This role entails legal research, staying updated on regulatory landscapes, analyzing regulations, and aiding in licensing applications. Your expertise in financial regulatory law and enthusiasm for the digital assets sector will enhance our service delivery to institutional clients and propel industry advancements.

You will assume the position of Regulatory Counsel as a pivotal member of the legal team, delivering strategic advice to different business segments to introduce and enhance products, services, and features companywide. Addressing banking, financial services laws, securities laws, and emerging regulatory topics concerning digital assets will be key responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

  • Conduct substantive legal research for informed regulatory decision-making, especially in areas like banking, securities, and digital assets.
  • Build and maintain a repository of legal research that informs legal and regulatory processes for the benefit of the legal team and stakeholders.

Impact of Work:

  • Aid the legal team by identifying areas requiring regulatory analysis and provide feedback on critical legal and regulatory matters.
  • Independently manage medium to large project tasks while tracking progress effectively.

Organizational Knowledge:

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to grasp business requirements and key legal questions necessitating further understanding through research.
  • Synthesize and present relevant legal content to internal teams for shared knowledge across departments.

Communication and Influence:

  • Foster transparent communication pathways and collaborate closely with legal and business teams to offer regulatory insights and analysis.
  • Participate in internal discussions regarding legal and regulatory matters arising from the legal team and business product development efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Over 4 years of experience in counseling financial services, tech, or digital asset-related clients within law firm or in-house settings.
  • Methodical, action-oriented, with acute attention to detail, accustomed to producing quality work in fast-paced environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks surrounding various digital asset business models.
  • Proven ability to swiftly and comprehensively analyze legal areas, understand applicable laws and regulations, and articulate research outcomes clearly.
  • Experience adapting traditional financial legal principles to the digital asset sphere to address complex business needs for institutional clients.
  • Track record of excelling in fast-paced start-up environments, driven, proactive, with an enthusiastic attitude and willingness to tackle any task.
  • Capable of proposing innovative, practical solutions and applying them in a commercial context.
  • Active member of a state bar.
