We are currently seeking a Product Manager to contribute to the development and implementation of SWIFT connectivity and cross-border financial messaging capabilities within institutional payment and settlement workflows. This role will specifically focus on integrating SWIFT MT and ISO 20022 (MX) messages, structured data mapping, and ensuring interoperability between traditional banking mechanisms and digital asset settlement infrastructure. Collaboration across various teams, including engineering, banking operations, compliance, treasury, and external banking partners, will be essential to establish secure, compliant, and resilient integration with global financial messaging networks.
Responsibilities Include:
- Support the product roadmap for SWIFT integration, involving MT and ISO 20022 messaging standards, and assist in translating banking and treasury requirements into detailed product documents and technical specifications.
- Work closely with engineering to implement diverse SWIFT connectivity models, maintenance of Alliance Cloud, service bureau arrangements, and API-based integration layers.
- Aid in reconciliation, settlement tracking, and repair processes across correspondent banking flows, including coordination of testing and certification with external banks, BIC holders, and service providers.
- Monitor operational performance metrics such as message failure rates, repair volumes, and settlement timing to drive improvement initiatives based on data insights.
- Collaborate with compliance and risk teams to integrate sanctions screening, travel rule requirements, and AML controls into messaging and settlement workflows.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Proficiency in SWIFT MT and ISO 20022 (MX) messaging standards, cross-border correspondent banking flows, and knowledge of nostro and vostro account structures.
- Familiarity with SWIFT connectivity models and global payment rails like Fedwire, CHIPS, ACH, RTP, and SEPA, understanding how messaging interacts with underlying settlement systems.
- Ability to interpret message schemas, structured data fields, and validation rules, and work with engineering on API design considerations.
- Comfortable with data analysis using SQL, Excel, or scripting tools to analyze settlement activity and operational metrics.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in product management, payments operations, banking technology, or financial infrastructure, preferably within regulated financial institutions, fintech, or payment service providers.
- Exposure to cross-border payments, treasury operations, or financial messaging systems with a strong analytical mindset and ability to document complex payment workflows.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience supporting SWIFT integrations, ISO 20022 migrations, or correspondent banking implementations.
- Familiarity with BIC codes, RMA relationships, message lifecycle management, and bank certification testing processes.
- Exposure to digital asset settlement, blockchain-based infrastructure, or tokenized money.
