The team's primary objective revolves around enabling institutions to securely settle digital assets at scale, thereby enhancing digital asset liquidity while mitigating counterparty risks. This realm within Anchorage Digital is burgeoning with extensive potential for growth.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Engineering and Product Managers as well as the rest of the engineering team to strategize, develop, launch, and maintain cutting-edge software for the Settlement Network business segment. Your pivotal roles include steering the system architecture, setting the technical direction, and nurturing each team member's technical proficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the development of secure, resilient infrastructure from inception.
- Conduct comprehensive code review across the entire software stack and engineering operations, actively engaging in product development activities.
- Cultivate an effective deterministic testing culture with a focus on reducing technical debt.
- Address complex software design challenges.
- Efficiently implement top-notch code - functional, high performance, succinct, well-tested, and clear.
Role Requirements:
To be an ideal fit for this role, you should possess:
- 8+ years of professional experience in building backend services with an API-first approach (e.g., REST, GraphQL, gRPC).
- Proficiency in designing, developing, and deploying cloud-native micro-services.
- A passion for developing automated tests alongside product features.
- Real-world experience in constructing intricate distributed systems.
- Enjoyment in establishing services from scratch and providing sustained support over significant timelines.
- A genuine appreciation for code quality and infrastructure solidity.
- Preference for enhancing end-user experience and driving business value over the allure of trendy technologies.
- Familiarity with fundamental computer science aspects such as algorithms, data structures, and operating systems (Formal CS degree NOT mandatory).
- Self-identification with qualities like creativity, humility, ambition, attention to detail, hard work, trustworthiness, eagerness to learn, methodical approach, action-oriented mindset, and tenacious spirit.
Additional Preferred Skills:
While not obligatory, possessing the following skills or experience would be an added advantage:
- Professional background in C++ or Go.
- Proficiency in Kubernetes.
- Expertise in system security aspects (e.g., authentication, authorization, identity, API keys).
- Previous exposure to the finance industry.

Compensation at Anchorage Digital is driven by market trends and data analysis. All full-time employees receive competitive salaries, substantial equity stakes, and a rich assortment of perks and benefits. The indicated compensation range of $145,000 - $205,000 may vary based on regional locations and job grades, with further refinement during the interview process to align with requisite skills, capabilities, and experience.
