Miner Technician III

SUMMARY
The role of Miner Technician I involves the maintenance and repair of mining equipment to ensure smooth operations in compliance with safety standards. The position requires troubleshooting skills and the implementation of preventive maintenance procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Regularly inspect mining equipment for potential issues and address any identified problems.
Carry out repairs and maintenance tasks to maintain the functionality of machinery.
Collaborate with mining engineers and team members to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines during all mining activities.
Assist with the installation and setup of new mining equipment.
Monitor equipment performance and efficiency, making necessary adjustments.
Maintain comprehensive records of maintenance activities and equipment status.
Participate in safety training programs and promote a safety-focused culture within the mining team.
Operate various tools and machinery required for maintenance work.
Stay updated on advancements in mining technology and equipment for continuous improvement.
On-call availability for emergencies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training in mining technology is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in production, manufacturing, construction, shipping, electrical work, or troubleshooting.
Knowledge of mining equipment, machinery, and related technologies.
Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings.
Strong teamwork and communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
Must be capable of standing for up to 7 hours per day.
Ability to lift/carry weights ranging from 30-50 lbs.
Willingness to adhere to stringent safety protocols.
