Job Overview:
The role of the Mining Operations Technician - Shift Lead with CleanSpark is vital for the efficient functioning of the bitcoin mining operation. This position entails collaborating with a diverse team to ensure round-the-clock support for the mining centers and working closely with the engineering and facilities teams.
This position requires on-site presence at the Sandersville, GA location.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Reporting to Management
- Coordinating with Management and Shift Leads on task assignments and projects
- Delegating daily responsibilities and projects
- Establishing performance objectives for Shift Leads and Mining Technicians
- Addressing immediate issues during scheduled shifts
- Ensuring completion of tasks
- Supervising daily operations
- Enforcing workplace policies and procedures concerning attendance, scheduling, and performance
- Organizing training sessions for new staff
- Providing feedback on performance reviews for team members
- Notifying management of safety concerns
- Supporting the engineering team with mining operation activities
- Tracking and scanning equipment shipments to maintain accurate records and inventory
- Assisting with special projects like equipment installation or reorganization
- Performing basic maintenance tasks on miners, including fan and power supply replacements
- Monitoring mining pool data to identify significant changes
- Alerting to issues impacting the production environment
- Escorting approved visitors for equipment-related work
- Providing remote technical assistance as needed, such as troubleshooting and reboots
- Collaborating with the facilities team for building and electrical maintenance
- Reporting HVAC or power issues
- Troubleshooting problems when required
- Monitoring temperatures and reporting abrupt changes in data centers or office spaces
- Fulfilling additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Experience: 1 year of technical experience in a bitcoin mining facility.
- Required skills: Leadership abilities, effective communication, autonomy in task completion, basic computer proficiency.
- Personal traits: Proactive, helpful, diligent, and committed to quality work; team-oriented.
- Preference for knowledge in bitcoin mining
