The Opportunity
About the Role & Consensus
Consensus, a much-anticipated annual event since 2015, serves as a unique festival celebrating all facets of the blockchain, crypto, and Web 3 ecosystems and their profound impact on business, culture, and communities worldwide. Each year, Consensus attracts tens of thousands of participants to engage with sought-after industry leaders and immerse themselves in a diverse array of discussions, meetings, entertainment, and more. The upcoming editions of Consensus include events in Hong Kong and Toronto.
The Partner Account Management team plays a pivotal role by directly engaging with event sponsors throughout the event cycle. This team ensures seamless coordination with sponsor representatives to meet all pre- and post-event commitments within agreed timelines. Success in this position requires strong communication, organization, and attention to detail, fostering solid partnerships internally and externally.
The role is based in the NYC office near Union Square, with the number of required days per week subject to business needs.
What You’ll Do
- Create and manage timelines to ensure timely submission of all sponsor deliverables.
- Oversee Sponsor-related Event Management System deliverables and Partner Portal setup for CoinDesk events.
- Develop sponsor onboarding documents, including guides and communication materials.
- Assist in custom executions and activations for sponsors.
- Act as a resource and lead for subsequent Account Managers in the event timeline.
- Onboard and manage sponsors for activations and exhibits across all CoinDesk Events.
- Prepare weekly sponsor bulletins leading up to Consensus and address sponsor inquiries promptly.
- Schedule necessary calls/meetings with sponsors and relay updated information as needed.
- Coordinate with event vendors and sponsors for deliverables and engagement.
- Take the lead on non-convention center parties and sponsor-related events.
- Maintain organization in internal processes and trackers to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Travel as required for live events, site visits, and onsite sponsor interaction.
- Assist in post-event follow-up, documentation, and recaps.
What You Have
- Minimum 5 years of event planning experience in an agency or brand setting, organizing large-scale events or conferences successfully.
- Strong project management skills, ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent client communication skills with a commitment to delivering top-notch service.
- Problem-solving aptitude, strategic thinking, and keen attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed for event execution.
