Responsibilities

  • Manage the global expansion of the instant messaging (IM) product on both the app and web portal, devising product strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain the IM product roadmap, milestones, and backlog in alignment with strategic priorities for product penetration in various international markets.
  • Drive global product launches and feature introductions; spearhead beta programs by setting product specifications and collaborating with designers, engineers, and business stakeholders.
  • Gather and consolidate customer feedback, conduct user studies, and develop products tailored to meet customer needs and requirements.
  • Undertake market research, analyze regional data, and closely collaborate with overseas and local operations teams to provide market-tailored solutions.
  • Manage communication with cross-functional teams abroad to synchronize project progress.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in launching and overseeing large-scale global instant messaging (IM) products, with a proven track record of successful outcomes.
  • Over 5 years of product management experience, showcasing technical proficiency.
  • Proficient in identifying customer needs, executing prototypes and iterations, and making data-informed decisions to enhance products.
  • Thorough understanding of IM products and user scenarios, with the ability to drive product enhancements and expansion across the organization.
  • Strong ability to define precise, straightforward product requirements and collaborate efficiently with engineering teams to deliver as per specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication capabilities.
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects and responsibilities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Solid project management skills to ensure timely delivery and execution.
  • Collaborative mindset, with the ability to influence and align various teams and business stakeholders to boost product adoption and market success.
  • Fluency in both English and Mandarin is required for effective coordination with overseas partners and stakeholders.
