As a Product Manager focused on Developer Experience, you will have a crucial role in comprehending developer requirements, outlining product strategies, and introducing innovative solutions that enable developers to unleash the full capabilities of the Internet Computer. This is a hybrid-onsite role located in our upcoming office in San Francisco.
Responsibilities:
- Develop the product vision and roadmap for the developer experience at DFINITY.
- Advocate for the developers by integrating user feedback to incorporate improvements into the ICP Software Development Kits (SDKs).
- Work together with the community and various teams across DFINITY to enhance ICP capabilities.
- Define clear success metrics for different developer tools in alignment with stakeholders and considering short- and long-term goals.
- Cultivate a collaborative and innovative culture within the team, encouraging idea generation and problem-solving to continually enhance developer platforms.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of Product Management experience.
- In-depth understanding of developer experience and/or productivity.
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, tooling, and patterns.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering and scaling platform products while comprehending the building of seamless developer tools and processes.
- Ability to shape high-level strategic initiatives and also focus on detailed execution to drive results.
- Capacity to evaluate tough technical tradeoffs, focusing on short-term outcomes versus long-term impact.
- Ability to make decisions in ambiguous situations or with competing priorities when complete data is lacking.
Base Salary Range: $150,000 - $235,000 per year.
This role is applicable across multiple levels, and total compensation at DFINITY comprises base salary and a generous bonus, determined by factors like job level, expertise areas, educational background, geographic location, and overall experience. Senior Backend Engineer
We are looking for a Backend Developer to join our remote team. As a key member of the development team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining APIs, handling data management, and integrating with the blockchain and other systems. You’ll work closely with the frontend developers to ensure seamless integration between the backend and the user-facing parts of the platform.
Responsibilities :
API Development: Design, implement, and maintain RESTful APIs to interact with the front-end and blockchain components of the platform.
Database Management: Work with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) to store and manage user data, property metadata, transactions, and more.
Blockchain Integration: Collaborate with the Smart Contract team to integrate the backend with blockchain technologies like Ethereum and Polygon (Web3 interactions).
Security & Performance: Implement security protocols to ensure platform safety and high performance, including handling user authentication, payment systems, and personal data management.
Collaboration with Frontend: While your focus is backend, a basic understanding of React and frontend development will help you collaborate effectively with the frontend team for API consumption and integration.
Troubleshooting & Debugging: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and bugs, improving both the backend and the overall user experience.
Documentation: Write clear and concise documentation for APIs, database structures, and integration processes to ensure smooth team collaboration and future scalability.
Requirements :
5+ years of backend development experience.
Strong knowledge of Node.js and Express.js.
Experience working with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or other databases.
Familiarity with IPFS or cloud storage solutions is a plus.
Basic knowledge of React.js and frontend development (enough to collaborate effectively with frontend team).

The ideal candidate combines strong design sensibility with technical proficiency and has basic hands-on experience with React and front-end development.
