Product Manager, Global Payments and Fraud
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented individual to lead the expansion of our global payment rail and anti-fraud practice at a leading software platform for digital assets. The ideal candidate will excel in building out capabilities for global local currency support and enhancing Blockchain.com's risk and fraud functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the expansion of local fiat support for global customers, facilitating ease of deposit and payment in various local currencies.
- Collaborate with the brokerage team to enable trading in these local currencies.
- Develop a top-tier risk and anti-fraud function by engaging with industry experts to set benchmarks and devise strategies for surpassing them.
- Devise and execute a comprehensive product roadmap, tracking industry trends to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for product enhancement.
- Establish and maintain systems for identifying and preventing fraudulent activities, employing advanced analytics, machine learning models, and real-time monitoring approaches.
- Continuously evaluate and analyze the impact of existing and new features on key performance indicators (KPIs) and user engagement metrics.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, data science, operations, and compliance, to implement fraud detection and prevention tools.
- Collaborate with external vendors to explore solutions to counter fraudulent activities.
- Carry out in-depth root cause analyses of fraud incidents and develop effective action plans to prevent recurrence.
- Partner with the Risk Operations team in crafting automation tools that enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage project timelines and coordinate various product roadmaps to ensure timely feature releases and minimize delays.
Qualifications:
- Proactive and curious mindset.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Product Management roles, with at least 3 years focused on payments and fraud.
- In-depth knowledge of payment rails (e.g., cards, ACH, Apple Pay, SEPA, Faster Payments) and background in applying data science to combat fraud.
- Demonstrated experience in introducing new rails or currencies within a global consumer fintech environment.
- Background in payments, fraud prevention, risk management, or related fields in financial services.
- Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills to interpret complex data and trends.
- Track record of working in cross-functional teams and managing project timelines effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for producing comprehensive feature requirement documents and collaborating with stakeholders and senior management.
- Detail-oriented approach with a focus on designing products for an optimal end-user experience.
- Proven experience in product shipment within a technical setting while collaborating closely with developers.
