About the Role
Toku is currently seeking a Senior HR Account Manager to oversee HR operations and client partnerships. As a key member of the HR team, the Senior HR Account Manager plays a crucial role in managing client relationships, people programs, and intricate regulatory matters. Responsibilities include managing onboarding and offboarding processes, payroll tasks, and general HR and operational duties.
This position offers the opportunity to join a rapidly growing startup as a foundational team member. The ideal candidate will exhibit leadership qualities, effective communication skills, and a principles-based approach to HR practices.
Responsibilities
- Manage a wide range of sensitive and complex HR operational tasks throughout the employee life cycle, such as onboarding, leave administration, compliance, payroll, benefits, and offboarding.
- Collaborate with the Toku Benefits team to oversee US benefits brokerage, implementation, and annual open enrollment processes.
- Process semi-monthly US payroll, benefits, and 401k contributions efficiently.
- Contribute to building Toku's PEO HR knowledge center by documenting jurisdictional employment regulations.
- Support employee relations through regular check-ins, documentation of employee feedback, questions, and sentiment analysis.
- Assist with special projects on an ad hoc basis.
Requirements
- Prior experience in client-facing HR roles within Employer of Record (EOR) or Professional Employer Organization (PEO) setups.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience as an HR Manager, Generalist, or Business Partner.
- Strong expertise in HR operations, benefits, payroll, employee relations, and employment law.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in problem-solving and analytical thinking.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and workflows independently.
- Previous startup and cross-functional team experience.
- Bonus points for entrepreneurial experience or side project ventures.
- Availability in the North America Time Zone.
