Senior Java Developer (Exchange/Trading Platform)
Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing and implementing products and solutions for a derivatives exchange platform with a focus on full-stack design across various micro-service components.
- Collaborate closely with the product management team to enhance existing models, develop new algorithms, and optimize products continually.
- Participate in code auditing, testing, and release processes.
- Build a deployable system with automated testing, continuous integration, and delivery capabilities.
- Identify issues in back-end infrastructure and platforms, troubleshooting and implementing effective solutions.
- Analyze and resolve cross-stack problems efficiently.
- Work in conjunction with the security team to construct and operate secure and scalable backend services.
- Manage code and functional implementation documents effectively.
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to enhance the technology stack continually.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of Java programming experience.
- Ideally, past experience at an Investment Bank, Hedge Fund, or Exchange involved in developing trading applications for Equity, FX, or Derivative products in traditional or crypto markets.
- Proficiency in Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodology with a background in automated testing.
- Strong attention to detail, accountability, and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Willingness to tackle challenges, learn eagerly, and adapt to evolving priorities in a fast-paced industry environment.
- Experience with derivative products is a plus.
Compensation: $120,000 - $150,000 annually.
