About the role
The Senior Operations Manager will report to the VP of Operations, North America, and oversee the day-to-day operations of the banking partnerships focusing on the Canadian region. Additionally, the role will involve providing support for Exchange projects as required.
This position requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams globally. The role is hands-on, necessitating a proactive approach to managing high volumes of tasks both internally and externally with vendors until resolution. The ideal candidate must be solution-oriented and committed to optimizing operational efficiencies.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate tasks related to card and fiat operations.
- Assist in resolving operational issues and developing solutions.
- Onboard new partners and vendors.
- Maintain a repository of operational processes and procedures.
- Lead process improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate internal reviews for new product features with business operations teams and participate in quality assurance testing.
- Coordinate external processes with bank partners for new product features and obtain necessary approvals.
- Evaluate the performance of newly launched product features and provide recommendations for enhancements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for banking partners, managing incoming requests, routing them to the appropriate teams, and ensuring completion.
- Assist with onboarding efforts for global acquirers as required.
- Willing to undertake ad hoc tasks as delegated.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years in project management, operations, business analysis, or customer support. Experience in banking, payment companies, startups, or fintech is advantageous.
- Preferred experience in card or payment operations.
- Proactive self-starter capable of working independently.
- Proficient in a fast-paced environment with high personal standards.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt in a dynamic startup setting.
- Prioritize tasks effectively and follow up promptly.
- Collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Highly organized with strong presentation skills to represent both self and the company.
- Excellent communication skills in conveying ideas clearly and professionally verbally and in writing.
- Proficiency in tools like Slack, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Some domestic and international travel required.
