Senior Python Data Engineer (Finance Digital Transformation)

We are seeking a passionate individual to join our dynamic team responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing software for various fast-paced ventures projects. These projects are closely aligned with our core businesses and operated with a lean team structure. As a key team member, you will actively contribute to creating scalable applications, encompassing everything from frontend UI development to backend infrastructure enhancement.

One of our primary projects involves building and optimizing a data transformation pipeline for Finance teams. Your role will entail designing and implementing robust data pipelines to ensure data quality, reliability, and timely financial reporting services for our Finance teams. Additionally, you will play a vital part in delivering custom data products that empower users with self-serving capabilities and accurate data query responses.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Python scripting
• Strong SQL skills for querying, transforming, and optimizing data performance
• Experience with Apache Airflow or similar tools for working with DAGs
• Proficient in version control, branching, and collaboration using GitHub
• Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Excellent communication skills in spoken English
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/cloud platforms, and unit testing
• Additional experience in Elixir, Cloudera Data Warehouse, AWS Athena/Tableau is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Design and optimize Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAGs) using Python and Apache Airflow to support financial reporting needs
• Manage internal tools for secure company data management
• Collaborate closely with various teams, including Data Science, Data Warehouse, Exchange, Backend, and Finance, to ensure alignment on data requirements
• Maintain detailed process documentation to facilitate seamless collaboration and knowledge transfer within the team
