Senior Python Data Engineer (Finance Digital Transformation)
We are a team responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and enhancing software for various venture projects, which are closely linked to our core businesses and require a nimble team. As a member of our team, you will play a key role in architecting diverse components for scalable applications, spanning from frontend interfaces to backend infrastructure.
Our focus includes constructing and managing a data transformation pipeline for Finance teams. Your responsibilities will involve crafting reliable data pipelines to ensure data quality, timely financial reporting, and seamless data delivery for Finance operations. Your work will also involve providing tailored data solutions to empower users with self-service capabilities and accurate data insights.
Job Requirements:
- Proficiency in Python for scripting purposes
- Strong skills in SQL, employing various techniques for querying, transforming data, and optimizing performance
- Experience with Apache Airflow or similar tools, particularly in working with Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAGs)
- Competence in version control, branching, and collaborating using GitHub
- Ability to engage with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Strong communication skills in spoken English
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS and other cloud platforms, and unit testing
- Bonus experience with Elixir, Cloudera Data Warehouse, AWS Athena, or Tableau
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and enhance Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAGs) using Python and Apache Airflow for fulfilling financial reporting requirements
- Maintain internal tools utilized in managing company data with a focus on data security
- Collaborate closely with various teams including Data Science, Data Warehouse, Exchange, Backend, and Finance to define data requirements and deliverables
- Create and maintain thorough documentation of processes to facilitate seamless collaboration within the team
