Challenge

In search of Senior QA / Test Engineers who will take charge of reviewing and validating decision pathways to ensure accurate outcomes such as PERMIT, DENY, and ESCALATE are correctly ascertained across the extensive governance rule library and the custom-rule intake process. Tasks include establishing comprehensive functional coverage, validating end-to-end processes, and aiding the Security / QA Lead in conducting adversarial and audit-chain assessments to guarantee precision in outcomes on a deterministic control plane.

The engagement requires full-time commitment over a duration of approximately 12 weeks, with a remote work setup.

Responsibilities

• Creation and execution of functional test scenarios covering all aspects of the governance rule library to confirm accurate PERMIT, DENY, and ESCALATE outcomes.
• Validation of the complete custom-rule intake journey to ensure submitted rules appropriately match the actual engine record.
• Development of comprehensive test coverage targeting negative and edge-case scenarios aligned with the platform's core objectives.
• Collaboration with the Security / QA Lead on conducting multi-tenant isolation and audit-chain testing.
• Maintenance of a systematic linkage between test cases, rules, and requirements.
• Precise documentation and reporting of defects in GitHub Issues for efficient resolution monitoring.
• Verification of resolved issues through the freeze-audit CI gate.

Mandatory Skills

• Extensive QA / Test Engineering proficiency with a focus on API-driven backend systems.
• Proficiency in Python and the ability to interpret source code for designing precise tests.
• Experience with rule-based, workflow, or decision-logic frameworks emphasizing the importance of correctness.
• Familiarity with Postgres / SQL for verifying persisted states.
• Comfort in utilizing Docker and conducting CI-based test executions using platforms like GitHub Actions.
• Methodical approach to reproducible defect documentation.
• English proficiency at a B1 level.

• Automated testing exposure with Python services.
• Familiarity with authorization or policy-engine testing.
