Responsibilities:

As a seasoned smart contract engineer at Circle, you will take on a pivotal role in the USDC Smart Contract team. Leading the technical aspects, you will be involved in building and scaling smart contracts for USDC across multiple blockchain protocols such as Ethereum, Solana, and Cosmos.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy secure smart contracts to ensure seamless transactions.
• Improve existing smart contracts to enhance developer efficiency, safety, and performance.
• Apply security best practices and optimize performance.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities in smart contract development, implementing strategies to enhance security.

Requirements:

Senior Software Engineer (III)

• Minimum of 4 years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of proven expertise in smart contract development on blockchain platforms.
• Proficient in programming languages utilized for non-EVM smart contracts such as Rust, Go, among others.
• Demonstrated experience in prominent non-EVM blockchain ecosystems like Cosmos and Solana.
• Skillful in architecting, coding, testing, and deploying secure and efficient smart contracts.
• Strong emphasis on security best practices and implementing security measures.
• Keep abreast of the latest trends and tools in blockchain development.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
• Capacity to independently conduct research to find innovative solutions.

Staff Software Engineer (IV)

Qualifications include all requirements of a Senior Software Engineer, plus:

• Over 7 years of professional software development experience.
• 4+ years of proven smart contract development experience on blockchain platforms.
• Profound knowledge of non-EVM programming languages and tech stacks.
• Thorough understanding of blockchain technology, principles, and various blockchain & web3 protocols.
• Ability to lead technical teams, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate effectively.
• Effective communication skills to build consensus among team members and stakeholders.

• Senior Software Engineer (III) Base Pay Range: $147,500 - $195,000
• Annual Bonus Target: 12.5%
