Responsibilities:
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Circle, you will play a vital role in designing, constructing, and maintaining Circle's infrastructure to accommodate its expanding worldwide customer base efficiently across various regions on public cloud platforms. Leveraging your expertise, you will guarantee the steady and high-performance operation of Circle's core systems and products. Key Responsibilities:
- Providing agile, responsive CI/CD platforms to support multiple development teams in delivering top-quality builds with quantifiable performance and quality.
- Enhancing, securing, and scaling cloud infrastructure and resources utilizing IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
- Automating operational tasks via Go, Python, and serverless solutions like AWS Lambda and Kubernetes Jobs.
- Orchestrating Kubernetes clusters for various production workloads to ensure efficiency.
- Advancing blockchain infrastructure through node management across diverse blockchains such as Algorand, Ethereum, Hedera, Flow, Solana, Stellar, and Tron.
- Participating in an on-call rotation to resolve production system disruptions and conduct root cause analyses.
- Planning and testing disaster recovery scenarios for a robust microservices architecture.
- Collaborating with the Security team to establish and preserve security-centric tools and frameworks for enhanced security measures.
- Mentoring team members and contributing to scaling the team effectively.
Qualifications:
Senior Site Reliability Engineer (III)
- Minimum of 4 years in DevOps or SRE positions, focusing on tooling, automation, and infrastructure on major public cloud services.
- Proficient in coding and scripting languages such as Go, Python, and Shell.
- Experience ranging from 3 years or more in building and maintaining CI/CD platforms while supporting agile engineering teams with microservices.
- Expertise in various areas including Docker deployment in Kubernetes clusters, cloud services, and distributed blockchain systems, among others.
- Proficiency in observability, troubleshooting, and optimizing tech stack layers.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to convey technical concepts clearly to peers and stakeholders.
Staff Site Reliability Engineer (IV)
Encompasses the requirements of a Senior SRE, with additional highlights on leadership roles, API design, and sophisticated cloud services knowledge, among other competencies.
Additional Details:
Successful candidates for this position are eligible for day-one PERM sponsorship. Compensation is determined based on relevant experience, skill set, and organizational requirements.
