Responsibilities:

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Circle, you will oversee the design, construction, and maintenance of Circle's infrastructure across various regions on public cloud platforms, catering to a growing global customer base. Leveraging your expertise, you will ensure that Circle's products and core systems operate consistently, reasonably, and efficiently. Main Tasks Include:

• Supporting multiple development teams with an agile CI/CD platform for efficient delivery of high-quality builds;
• Building and securing cloud infrastructure using IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible;
• Automation of operational tasks through Go, Python, and serverless solutions;
• Managing Kubernetes clusters for various production workloads;
• Overseeing blockchain infrastructure by managing nodes across multiple blockchains;
• Participating in an on-call rotation to minimize disruptions in production systems;
• Planning and testing disaster recovery scenarios in a microservices architecture;
• Collaborating with the Security team to enhance security-focused tools and frameworks and maintain robust security measures;
• Mentoring team members to facilitate growth and scalability.

Requirements for Circle: (Skills are an advantage but not mandatory)

Senior Site Reliability Engineer:

• 4+ years in DevOps or SRE roles with a focus on tooling, automation, and infrastructure on a key public cloud platform;
• Proficiency in coding/scripting languages like Go, Python, and Shell;
• Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD platforms and supporting agile engineering teams;
• Proficiency in containers and Kubernetes, CI/CD platforms with complex workflows, blockchain systems, and databases;
• Strong grasp of data warehousing platforms, networking, monitoring tools, and IaC concepts;
• Excellent troubleshooting and performance optimization skills;
• Effective communication skills for articulating complex technical concepts.

Staff Site Reliability Engineer:

Builds on Senior SRE requirements with added expertise:

• 7+ years in DevOps or SRE roles with a focal point on tooling, automation, and infrastructure;
• Led technical teams in architecture and system design;
• Deep understanding of API design, cloud services, containers and Kubernetes, SQL databases, and coding standards.
