Role Summary
As a Senior DeFi Engineer at Ethena Labs, you will lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of cutting-edge DeFi infrastructure and products, focusing on stablecoins, staking, liquidity, and cross-chain operations. Your responsibilities will include integrating market data, liquidity signals, executing systems, and ensuring the security and reliability of Ethena's assets and user funds.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy core DeFi protocols such as staking, stablecoin integrations, and liquidity systems with a focus on security and gas efficiency.
- Spearhead cross-chain infrastructure development to ensure seamless cross-chain transactions and messaging reliability.
- Collaborate with Security Engineering to implement robust monitoring tools and multisig solutions.
- Prioritize security by conducting audits, implementing testing protocols, and patching high-severity issues promptly.
- Collaborate with Trading & Risk Engineering to integrate market data into DeFi strategies for automated critical operations.
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of DeFi products from concept to deployment, ensuring high availability of critical contracts.

Requirements
- Deep understanding of DeFi protocols, smart contracts, staking mechanisms, AMMs, and liquidation procedures.
- Proficiency in Solidity and EVM patterns, ideally with experience in advanced tools like Foundry and Slither.
- Familiarity with Rust and Solana patterns, preferably with experience in advanced tools for Solana.
- Strong system design skills with a focus on scalability, gas efficiency, and upgradability.
- Prior experience in security-focused engineering practices, including vulnerability assessment and formal verification.
