The Finance Team
Our Finance team is responsible for ensuring that Chainlink Labs operates as a financially healthy and responsible business. We focus on speed and scalability while minimizing friction. We carefully manage our capital resources, anticipate future needs, and allocate resources for maximum returns. Our team analyzes the business, reports on key performance indicators, collaborates with other teams, and ensures compliance and accountability.
In this role, you will work closely with our Tax Manager to support our tax compliance and planning strategy. This is a great opportunity to apply your international tax expertise to unique and cutting-edge tax cases in the blockchain industry.
Your Impact
- Lead data gathering efforts and assist with reviewing tax filings, including US federal, state, local, and foreign tax returns
- Prepare global tax provision, reconcile tax accounts, and assist with income tax provision audits
- Support the development of transfer pricing policies and intercompany accounting
- Conduct tax research on various tax issues, including US international tax, corporate and partnership tax, tax treaties, transfer pricing, and tax legislation updates
- Develop and maintain tax workpapers, processes, and procedures for audits
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Finance/Accounting, FP&A, Legal, and HR
- Assist with managing external advisors and budget
- Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
- Support tax planning efforts and other assigned projects
- Assist with the implementation of ERP systems and tax software
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting, CPA preferred
- 4+ years of senior tax experience in US corporate and international tax compliance and operations
- Self-starter with excellent prioritization and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and ownership of tasks assigned
- Willingness to thrive in a startup environment and adaptability
- Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and ERP systems
- Curiosity and interest in cryptocurrency and blockchain industries, tax compliance knowledge preferred but not required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, resourcefulness, and flexibility
All roles at Chainlink Labs are global and remote-based. We prefer candidates who can overlap some working hours with Eastern Standard Time (EST) but encourage applications from anywhere.
