Summary
We are supporting a U.S.-based SaaS company seeking a highly technical Software Architect who enjoys hands-on coding and guiding architectural decisions across multiple platforms and teams. This role involves 75% hands-on work directly with .NET, Angular, and SQL Server in a modern SaaS environment that combines new services with legacy systems modernization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop .NET Core services and APIs, enhancing structure and patterns within existing .NET Framework applications.
- Define Angular architecture and shared UI patterns used across various products.
- Design and optimize SQL Server schemas, stored procedures, indexing, and database performance.
- Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability for multi-tenant SaaS applications.
- Set standards for APIs, security patterns, and engineering best practices across teams.
- Drive DevOps evolution, incorporating CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, automated testing, and quality practices.
- Utilize AI tools like GitHub Copilot and Claude for increased productivity in coding, refactoring, and analysis.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance architecture in multiple codebases.
- Communicate architectural decisions and technical trade-offs to senior technical and business stakeholders.
- Aid in the modernization of legacy systems and modularization of large enterprise applications.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in enterprise software engineering.
- Proficiency in .NET Core, C#, and building scalable distributed systems.
- 4+ years of architectural experience encompassing system design, standards, and platform guidance.
- Strong Angular experience and expertise in defining frontend architecture patterns.
- Advanced SQL Server knowledge, including performance tuning, indexing, and secure data design.
- Experience with cloud-based applications on Azure or AWS.
- Proven DevOps capabilities like CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, observability, monitoring, and security fundamentals.
- Ability to make pragmatic architectural decisions in hybrid legacy and modern environments.
- Competence in presenting architectural decisions to senior technical and business leaders.
- Proficient in using AI tools (Copilot, Claude, or similar) in daily development workflows.
- Excellent English communication skills at a C1 level.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience enhancing or modernizing legacy systems.
- Background in modularizing large enterprise codebases.
- Familiarity with event-driven or message-based architectures.
- Exposure to AI-powered features or intelligent automation in software products.
