Software Engineer II- Risk Systems

Responsibilities:
Develop, enhance, and maintain FalconX's proprietary risk management systems, infrastructure, risk data, and processes.
Design scalable, resilient, high-performance risk solutions for institutional clients and internal teams.
Construct or enhance a unique auto-liquidation engine for FalconX.
Collaborate closely with various risk team members to upgrade and maintain the risk management ecosystem.
Impact:
In this role, you will play a key part in designing the next-generation risk solutions for FalconX and its clients. You will have an opportunity to enhance FalconX's proprietary auto-liquidation engine. Financial institutions and crypto companies rely on your solutions for their day-to-day operations, contributing to increased business potential and opportunities for FalconX and its clients. Your work in the realm of risk management safeguards FalconX and its clients in the volatile 24/7 crypto markets.
Requirements:
Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields.
3-5 years of extensive experience in software engineering, object-oriented programming, design, and complex distributed architectures.
Proficiency in Python programming and ability to learn new technologies swiftly.
Strong system design skills including the development of low-latency systems.
Comfort working with Linux/AWS environments.
Proactive, taking ownership of tasks and fostering alignment with risk, product, and engineering teams.
Work experience in risk management within a trading environment (e.g., hedge fund or bank).
Knowledge of various financial products and experience with different derivatives' asset classes.
Strong problem-solving skills, intuitive and analytical thinking.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
At least 2 years of professional experience in a quantitative risk role is a plus.
Knowledge of the Go programming language is advantageous.
Experience with Cloud Native technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, etc., is a bonus.
