About the Role

The Quant Platform at OKX provides cutting-edge technology solutions that cover all aspects of crypto trading. We develop low-latency connectivity for global crypto venues, offer strategy services for automated pricing and trading bots, capture and analyze high-frequency data, and provide a state-of-the-art micro frontend for trading management.

We are currently seeking a Java Software Engineer to join our Quant Platform Trading Services team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to be involved in every aspect of a high frequency, low latency trading system and its evolution. This is a unique chance for you to contribute your expertise and grow with the industry. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other cross-functional team members to deliver remarkable features.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain market data and trading connectivity to global crypto trading venues such as CEX, DEX, and single/multiple dealer platforms.
• Develop and support the Market Data Service Cluster and Trading Service Cluster, using our in-house low-latency transport layer based on Aeron and Chronicle Queue.
• Develop and maintain a config and reference data management system that provides a unified data model and process for both trading and risk management services.
• Measure and monitor internal market data and order latency systematically.
• Continuously improve the system to enhance stability, scalability, and robustness, with automatic recovery ability for 24x7 crypto trading.

Requirements

• Strong educational background in STEM (Science/Technology/Engineering/Mathematics).
• Excellent logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in high-performance Java programming and asynchronous programming patterns.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and microservice architecture.
• Experience in automated testing and continuous integration.
• Willingness to learn all aspects of trading products in the financial and crypto markets, including spot, futures, swaps, options, structured products, and DeFi trading.
