BitGo is in search of a Software Engineer to join our Onboarding team with the objective of constructing an API-first platform allowing businesses and developers to launch crypto products seamlessly.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop scalable, well-structured, and robust APIs, libraries, and services to enhance our API-first platform
  • Manage features related to functionality and scalability throughout inception, deployment, and integration with customers
  • Communicate and document functionalities for UI, third-party developers, and both internal and external tools
  • Collaborate across teams to establish, design, and deliver new features
  • Produce clean, efficient, and maintainable code
  • Uphold application performance, quality, and responsiveness
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks and bugs
  • Stay apprised of new technologies to enhance development efficiency
  • Engage in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Work in conjunction with product managers, designers, and peers in engineering to grasp and refine product requirements
  • Offer mentorship to team members through code reviews and education on best practices

Required:

  • Minimum 3 years of backend and server-side development experience
  • Proficient in algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis
  • Strong knowledge of TypeScript, Node.js, and Express
  • Experience in Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
  • Proven expertise in designing RESTful APIs
  • Familiarity with microservices and service-oriented architectures
  • Proficiency in unit and functional testing, as well as debugging
  • Proficiency in Git/GitHub, branching methodologies, code review, and CI tools
  • Ability to adapt swiftly in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, applied mathematics, or a related technical discipline from a reputable university
  • Understanding and keen interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain

Preferred:

  • Background in developing consumer-facing crypto products
  • Track record of creating public-facing APIs in a production setting
  • Capacity to work full-stack with familiarity in React
  • Experience in collaborating with clients or business partners
  • Familiarity with digital wallets, clearing and settlement, lending, trading, accounting systems, etc.

Pay Transparency Notice:

Compensation for this role averages between $180,000 - $220,000 CAD base salary, factoring in your level and location. Additionally, equity and an annual performance bonus form part of the package.
