Team Overview:

The SDK-Node team serves as a critical component in establishing the foundation of the Polkadot network. Primary responsibilities entail developing and maintaining the node software crucial to powering the network. From designing and testing to implementing and maintaining key components like networking, databases, consensus mechanisms, and more, we cover a broad spectrum of functionalities within the team. About the Role:

You will collaborate with a diverse and skilled team of Rust and backend experts across the globe. Active engagement in discussions pertaining to new features, designs, and issues within the GitHub community will be essential. In addressing pioneering challenges that demand innovative solutions, you'll navigate through complex issues by carefully analyzing and understanding various moving parts. Our expectation is for you to develop integration and unit tests that verify consistent node functionality.

About You:

• Minimum of 3 years of software engineering experience
• Significant backend expertise is a must
• Proficient in problem analysis, implementation, and testing strategies
• Clear communication skills and team-oriented mindset
• Proficient in distributed systems with a keen ability to learn new concepts swiftly
• Ownership mentality and a strong sense of responsibility for your specialized area
• Self-sufficient and proactive in defining tasks and executing accordingly
• Proficient in identifying and mitigating performance bottlenecks

Desirable Experience:

• Proficiency in Rust programming
• Prior exposure to the blockchain domain
