Your role with us

As a Sportsbook Analyst, you will play a crucial role in managing the trading, risk, and content aspects of our sportsbook product. Your main responsibility will be ensuring that the product meets the needs of our customers, ensuring they have an exceptional experience. Each day will present new and exciting tasks, such as real-time monitoring of bets, profiling customers, identifying any irregular betting patterns or behaviors, and generating in-depth reports. You will utilize large betting datasets to analyze information, assess risks, profile customers, and make necessary adjustments to the Sportsbook product.

You will work closely with the Sportsbook Manager, searching for data that supports our decision-making process. Your findings will then be communicated to the Sportsbook team and other relevant departments. A key component of the role is risk analysis, where you will maximize customer satisfaction while ensuring profitability. As such, possessing a comprehensive understanding of sports betting fundamentals is crucial. Building strong relationships with the Sportsbook team, as well as collaborating with other business functions like Marketing, Customer Support, and Business Intelligence, is also essential. Strong collaborative skills across teams are highly valued to thrive in this role. Lastly, being a team player is a must, as we believe in the strength of working together.

What you'll do:

• Conduct customer and risk management by profiling and segmenting customers, monitoring betting activities retrospectively and in real-time.
• Generate reports on product performance, reviewing daily and weekly product performance.
• Provide level 2 support to our customer support team, assisting them in handling customer queries.
• Manage site content, including content optimization and quality control.
• Perform backend report analysis using Tableau.

What you'll bring:

• A genuine passion for both sports and betting.
• Excellent analytical skills with acute attention to detail.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Preferred industry experience.
• Flexibility to work shifts as required by the business, covering any 5 out of 7 days within the hours of 07:00 to 21:00.
• Ability to maintain a positive mindset when faced with challenging requirements and situations.
• Ability to develop and nurture positive relationships with external service providers, agencies, vendors, associations, and other external organizations.

Bonus points if:

• Knowledge of spread betting, including the relationship between spread and fixed odds trading.
• Knowledge and interest in e-sports would be highly advantageous.
• Understanding of fixed odds market dynamics and principles involved in pricing and trading sports events.
• Familiarity with sports and/or casino jargon.
• Experience in responsible gaming.
• Proficiency in Google Suite (Drive, Spreadsheets, Docs), Slack, Airtable, and Intercom.
