The team is dedicated to extending support for these bridges to new networks and asset categories, while continuously exploring architectural enhancements for security, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency.

We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the team, collaborating closely with leadership to drive external connectivity on the Avalanche network forward. This role involves proposing innovative solutions to enhance security and reduce costs, progressing swiftly in a mission-oriented environment. Responsibilities include spearheading the development and implementation of bridges, as well as aligning technical strategies with business objectives through cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate possesses a solid background in blockchain technology, expertise in secure and scalable software design, and a fervor for crypto innovation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Spearhead technical projects of the Avalanche Bridge, from inception to deployment
  • Design, enhance, and deploy novel cross-chain transfer and interoperability protocols
  • Engage with product, business, and engineering teams to communicate upcoming features and releases
  • Develop automated testing suites and tools
  • Assist Infrastructure and Security teams with new releases and production monitoring on rotation basis

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Over 2 years of hands-on experience in blockchain, consensus protocols, distributed systems, or applied cryptography
  • Proficiency in C++ and Golang
  • Strong grasp of blockchain technologies and distributed systems
  • Profound understanding of cryptographic primitives
  • Experience with cloud deployments (AWS and/or Azure)
  • Knowledge of cross-chain protocols and smart contract development is advantageous
  • Leadership experience is a plus

Salary Range: $190,400 - $238,000

(Final compensation offer may vary based on factors such as experience and location.)
